چکیده
Idiopathic lumbosacral plexitis (LSP) or non-diabetic lumbosacral radiculoplexus neuropathy (LRPN) is a rare monophasic immune-mediated disorder. The disease is characterized by multiple lumbosacral root and nerve involvement in the absence of trauma, mass lesion or elevated blood sugar. We report a 60-year-old man presenting with a 4-day history of acute-onset sharp left hip pain radiating down his leg associated with numbness over the lateral dorsum of his left foot. MRI of the lumbosacral plexus revealed gadolinium enhancement of mainly L5 on the left. A dramatic response to oral steroids was observed.

Idiopathic Lumbosacral Spinal Chronic Subdural Hematoma
Reports of spontaneous spinal chronic subdural hematoma (SDH) are extremely rare. In the limited cases reported, the origin, symptoms and treatments are diversely revealed. Therefore accurate diagnoses and proper treatments are difficult to determine. We report a 74-year-old male presented with severe low back pain and both buttocks pain. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a diffuse subdural inf...
متن کاملHigh resolution neurography of the lumbosacral plexus on 3T magneteic resonance imaging.
Magnetic resonance neurography is a technique that complements clinical and electrophysiological study of the peripheral nerves and brachial and lumbosacral plexuses. Numerous focal processes (inflammatory, traumatic, primary tumors, secondary tumors) and diffuse processes (diabetic polyneuropathy, chronic idiopathic demyelinating polyneuropathy due to amyloidosis or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease...
متن کاملSpontaneously resorbed idiopathic syringomyelia: a case report.
A 28-year-old female patient presented with severe neck and back pain in 2003. No abnormality was observed at neurological examination. Syringomyelia in the cervical region was determined at MRI. MRI examination of the cranial, thoracal and lumbosacral regions was normal. The patient refused surgery and was followed up. A control cervical MRI 17 months later showed that the syringomyelia had di...
متن کاملRapidly Progressing Germinoma Arising in the Lateral Ventricle and This Mimicked Choroid Plexitis
tumors and the usual location for intracranial germinomas is the midline structures such as the pineal and suprasellar regions (1). To the best of our knowledge, intracranial germinoma primary arising in the lateral ventricle has not yet been reported in the medical literature. We describe here a case of lateral ventricular germinoma that showed rapid progression and it mimicked choroid plexitis.

AIM To evaluate the presence of submucosal and myenteric plexitis and its role in predicting postoperative recurrence. METHODS Data from all patients who underwent Crohn's disease (CD)-related resection at the University of Szeged, Hungary between 2004 and 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. Demographic data, smoking habits, previous resection, treatment before and after surgery, resection ma...
